Stewed cabbage

I cut the cabbage into thin strips, rubbed it with a little salt and left it aside to soften the cabbage a little.

Meanwhile, I cut the julienned onion and put it to harden in oil together with the hot pepper until it became glassy.

I added the sugar and left it for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

I cut the pork into small cubes and added it over the onion.

I let the meat cook together with the onion for 5-10 minutes.

I added the cabbage and let it simmer over medium to low heat, stirring occasionally so that it doesn't stick.

When it was almost cooked, I added dried thyme, pepper and tomato paste.

I let the cabbage boil together with the tomato paste for about 20 minutes.

I seasoned the cabbage with salt (only if necessary) and chopped dill.

I served it hot with polenta, sour cream and hot peppers.
